When Attention Comes Home

There is a moment when you realize that time did not disappear.

Your attention did.

A notification.
A message.
A link.
A few minutes of scrolling.

Then suddenly an hour has passed.

A bright screen calls
One finger opens the door
Attention wanders

This is one of the things Fractal Time has taught me to notice.

Time is not only something measured by a clock. It is also experienced through attention.

When my attention becomes scattered, my experience of time changes.

When I consciously bring my attention back, the same twenty minutes can feel completely different.

The goal is not to fight technology or eliminate distraction.

It is to develop the human capacity to choose where attention goes.

That is the beginning of a different relationship with time.
